SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS
Where better to spend Halloween than in a city notorious for its spooky past? Salem is perhaps most famous for the Salem Witch Trials in 1692, and now draws thousands of tourists every year eager to learn more about the city’s unique history.
Visit during October, when the city hosts various Halloween events, including spooky city tours and street parades. A visit to the Salem Witch Museum will also set the scene for a truly frightening Halloween!
BARCELONA
Amongst traditional Halloween fiestas, Barcelona also celebrates La Castanyada, a popular All Saints’ Day festival. This is the perfect opportunity to sample some seasonable delicacies, such as chestnuts and traditional marzipan cakes.

There are plenty of activities during the day to keep even the most diehard Halloween enthusiast satisfied. Dress up for London Comic Con which takes place 27-29 October or head to the London Dungeons, where you’re guaranteed a good scare!
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA
New Orleans knows how to have a good time, especially during Halloween. After all, it is said to be the most haunted city in America!
From horror movie marathons to haunted houses, New Orleans dresses itself up for Halloween to give its visitors a good fright. The annual New Orleans Halloween parade in particular is truly a sight to behold. Crowds gather in the streets to watch magnificent floats pass by, with festivities stretching on well into the night.
DISNEYLAND PARIS
It doesn’t matter whether you’re travelling with the kids or fancy being a big kid yourself, Disneyland Paris is always bucket loads of fun – especially during Halloween. Disney’s Halloween festival runs from 1 October-2 November, with a spectacular Halloween Party on the 31st.
